Mahindra three-wheeler sales surge 53 pc in July, LCVs post healthy growth

New Delhi: Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd (M&M) on Saturday reported robust growth in its domestic commercial vehicle and three-wheeler business in July 2026, with three-wheeler sales, including electric models, rising 53 per cent year-on-year, while light commercial vehicle (LCV) volumes also registered healthy gains.

The company sold 14,538 three-wheelers in the domestic market during the month, up from 9,475 units in July 2025. Cumulative sales in the April-July period rose 69 per cent to 50,793 units, compared with 30,034 units in the corresponding period last fiscal.

In the light commercial vehicle segment, sales of vehicles weighing less than 2 tonnes increased 40 per cent to 3,870 units last month from 2,763 units a year earlier. The category recorded year-to-date sales of 13,852 units, up 31 per cent from 10,571 units.

Sales of LCVs in the 2-3.5 tonne category grew 21 per cent year-on-year to 21,334 units in July from 17,701 units in the year-ago month. For the April-July period, sales rose 19 per cent to 84,934 units against 71,332 units in the same period of FY26.

On a sequential basis, Mahindra’s domestic commercial vehicle sales moderated to 25,204 units in July from 26,076 units in June. Sales of LCVs in the sub-2 tonne segment, however, increased to 3,870 units from 3,508 units in June, while volumes in the 2-3.5 tonne category declined to 21,334 units from 22,568 units. Three-wheeler sales improved to 14,538 units from 13,820 units in June.
