Bengaluru: Ola Electric on Friday reported a 20 per cent month-on-month rise in registrations for April 2026, bucking a broader slowdown in the electric two-wheeler segment.
The company said its registrations increased to 12,166 units in April from 10,133 units in March, according to VAHAN data, continuing the recovery momentum seen in the previous month.

Ola Electric’s performance stood out in a challenging market environment, with the overall electric two-wheeler industry witnessing a decline of over 22 per cent on a month-on-month basis. The company said it was the only leading EV two-wheeler manufacturer to register growth during April.

A company spokesperson said the sustained growth reflects improving execution, stabilising operations and rising customer confidence, following a strong recovery in March.

The spokesperson added that the commercialisation of the company’s indigenously developed 4680 Bharat Cells has enhanced cost efficiencies, with the benefits being passed on to customers.

The company’s electric motorcycle portfolio has also been gaining traction, particularly in large markets such as Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Madhya Pradesh. Its Roadster series, including the Roadster X, is gradually ramping up and emerging as a key offering in the electric motorcycle segment.

Ola Electric said its 4680 Bharat Cell-powered products are witnessing increasing adoption, with models such as the Roadster X+ 9.1 kWh offering a claimed range of up to 500 km (IDC), addressing range concerns among customers.

The company noted that electric vehicle adoption in India is gaining relevance amid global energy security concerns and volatility in oil prices, especially in the two-wheeler segment, which represents the largest share of personal mobility in the country.

Ola Electric said it remains focused on accelerating EV penetration through its integrated approach spanning vehicles, batteries and cell manufacturing, along with an emphasis on technology, scale and affordability.
