Mumbai: SML Mahindra Limited reported a 15 per cent year-on-year growth in its total sales for April 2026, driven by robust demand in the passenger vehicle segment.

The company said its total sales rose to 1,741 units in April 2026 as compared to 1,512 units in the same month last year.

Passenger vehicle sales emerged as the key growth driver, registering a sharp 19 per cent increase to 1,331 units from 1,123 units in April 2025.

Cargo vehicle sales also witnessed a moderate rise of 5 per cent, with volumes increasing to 410 units during the month under review as against 389 units in the year-ago period.

The overall performance reflects steady demand in the commercial passenger transport segment, even as growth in the cargo category remained relatively subdued during the month.
