New Delhi: Electric commercial vehicle maker EKA Mobility on Thursday reported a more than 13-fold year-on-year increase in vehicle volumes to 1,786 units in the first half of FY27, compared with 133 units in the corresponding period last year.
The company recorded a 1,243 per cent growth in overall volumes during the April-September period, driven by strong growth across its small commercial vehicle and bus segments.
EKA Mobility’s small commercial vehicle volumes surged to 1,286 units in H1 FY27 from 79 units a year earlier, registering a growth of 1,528 per cent. Bus volumes increased 826 per cent to 500 units from 54 units in the year-ago period.
The company said the growth was supported by its expanding electric commercial vehicle portfolio across segments. EKA also entered the medium and heavy commercial vehicle truck segment during the current fiscal, in addition to its existing bus and SCV portfolio.
EKA Mobility currently operates two manufacturing plants in Pune and is developing a mega manufacturing hub in Pithampur, Madhya Pradesh, to expand its production capacity.
The company’s operations are supported by a workforce of more than 3,000 employees, including over 500 designers and engineers in its research and development team.
EKA Mobility said its electric buses are deployed in Zanzibar, while its electric SCVs are operating in Nepal. The company is also setting up assembly plants in Ethiopia and Australia with local partners.
The company is a Champion OEM under the Automotive Production Linked Incentive (PLI) Scheme and has received PLI certification across all its product platforms.
