New Delhi: Hero MotoCorp on Saturday reported an 18.6 per cent year-on-year increase in total sales to 5,33,416 units in July 2026, driven by strong domestic demand for its motorcycles and scooters.

The company had dispatched 4,49,755 units in July 2025. Domestic sales rose 21.6 per cent to 5,01,403 units last month from 4,12,397 units in the year-ago period, while exports declined 14.3 per cent to 32,013 units from 37,358 units, Hero MotoCorp said in a statement.

Motorcycle sales increased to 4,68,565 units from 4,00,615 units in July last year, while scooter sales rose to 64,851 units from 49,140 units.

The company said its internal combustion engine (ICE) business dispatched 4,78,689 units during the month, supported by strong retail demand for models such as Splendor, Passion, Glamour X, Super Splendor XTEC 2.0, Destini and Xoom.

Its electric mobility brand VIDA dispatched 22,714 units in July. During the month, the company expanded the VIDA brand into Nepal, unveiled a refreshed brand identity under the “VOOM” platform and introduced a new 4.4 kWh variant.

Hero MotoCorp also expanded its global footprint by entering Ecuador and Germany, taking its international presence to 53 markets.

The company laid the foundation stone for its second Global Parts Centre in Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh, to strengthen domestic and export spare parts logistics while supporting the expansion of production capacity at its Tirupati manufacturing facility.

For the financial year so far, Hero MotoCorp has dispatched 2.21 million vehicles, compared with 1.82 million units in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal.
