Paris: Automotive technology major Valeo will showcase its latest solutions for heavy-duty trucks and light commercial vehicles at IAA Transportation 2026 in Hanover, Germany, with a focus on electrification, advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) and software-defined vehicle (SDV) technologies.
The company will participate in the global commercial vehicle event from September 14 to 20 at Hanover Messe, where it will display its technologies at Hall 20, Booth 30.
Valeo said its innovations are aimed at helping fleet operators tackle key challenges, including safety, comfort and total cost of ownership, as the commercial vehicle industry undergoes a major transformation driven by stricter safety and environmental regulations and the transition towards autonomous trucking.
“The IAA Transportation is a key platform for the global commercial vehicle industry – an important market and focus area for Valeo,” Valeo Chief Sales and Business Development Officer Detlef Juerss said.
“Our commercial vehicle OE customers value our innovative products and solutions as they enhance safety, reduce cost, provide comfort and create a differentiating design for their customers,” he said.
Juerss said Valeo had witnessed a significant increase in orders across the segments it serves since the last IAA exhibition, with growing demand particularly for technologies supporting electrified, autonomous and software-driven trucks.
He said Valeo’s ADAS sensors, sensor-cleaning systems and computing technologies are supporting all levels of vehicle autonomy, including Level 4, which he described as a potential game changer for the industry.
Valeo said it is building on its established portfolio of lighting, wipers, powertrain systems and thermal management technologies while accelerating its presence in high-growth areas such as electrification, ADAS and SDV technologies.
The company is also extending its electrification solutions to last-mile delivery and cargo mobility through Cyclee by Valeo, an end-to-end electric powertrain solution designed to connect long-haul trucking with zero-emission urban logistics.
Safety will be another major focus of Valeo’s IAA showcase. The company will present its Adaptive Driving Beam (ADB) technology, which automatically adjusts high-beam headlights around oncoming traffic to improve nighttime visibility without causing glare to other road users.
Valeo said the technology, already established in passenger cars, is now being introduced to the commercial vehicle market.
Inside the cabin, the company will showcase technologies designed to improve driver safety and monitoring. Its advanced Driver Monitoring System (DMS) tracks signs of driver drowsiness and distraction and is designed to support compliance with stringent GSR II and NCAP 2026 requirements.
With the commercial vehicle sector increasingly moving towards zero-emission and autonomous operations, Valeo said it aims to support truck manufacturers with a combination of hardware and software technologies covering safety, electrification, automation and vehicle intelligence.
