New Delhi: TVS Motor Company on Friday announced the appointment of Peyman Kargar as Director and Chief Executive Officer for a five-year term, effective January 27, 2027.

Kargar, who currently serves as President, International Business at TVS Motor, will succeed K N Radhakrishnan, who will continue as Director and CEO until January 27, 2027, to ensure a smooth leadership transition.

Following his tenure as CEO, Radhakrishnan will continue as a non-executive director until the company’s ensuing Annual General Meeting scheduled for July 2027.

Kargar brings over three decades of experience in the automotive industry across Europe, Asia, Africa and the Middle East. His experience spans product development, research and development, manufacturing, quality, sales and marketing.

Under Kargar’s leadership, TVS Motor’s international business has emerged as a significant contributor to the company’s global growth. The international business currently accounts for 29 per cent of the company’s sales volume and is growing at 33 per cent, the company said.

As CEO, Kargar will focus on expanding TVS Motor’s presence in India and international markets, with emphasis on product innovation, premiumisation and entry into developed markets.

The leadership transition follows a strong performance by TVS Motor in FY26, during which the company sold 5.9 million vehicles globally and recorded 30 per cent growth in revenue.

TVS Motor Chairman Sudarshan Venu said Kargar’s appointment marks an important step as the company enters its next phase of growth, while thanking Radhakrishnan for his contribution to the company and the wider TVS Venu group.

Kargar said he would focus on strengthening TVS Motor’s technology leadership, AI capabilities, quality and customer centricity while expanding its footprint across India and global markets.

Radhakrishnan said he was confident that Kargar would lead TVS Motor successfully and added that he would support an orderly transition over the coming months.

Radhakrishnan has led TVS Motor since 2008, during which the company expanded its product portfolio and strengthened its position in India’s two-wheeler market.
