Howrah, West Bengal: Daimler India Commercial Vehicles (DICV), maker of BharatBenz trucks and buses and a wholly owned subsidiary of Daimler Truck AG, today inaugurated its new authorised BharatBenz dealership, Agile Trucking, at Uluberia, Howrah, West Bengal. The new facility further strengthens BharatBenz’s footprint in eastern India and reinforces its commitment to providing best-in-class sales, service, and spares support to customers in one of the country’s most important freight and logistics hubs.

Strategically located on NH-16, one of West Bengal’s key lifeline roads and a major national highway connecting Chennai and Kolkata, and passing through Andhra Pradesh, Mumbai and Odisha, the dealership offers strong connectivity to major industrial and transportation hubs across Howrah, East Medinipur, and West Medinipur. It will support customers operating across Ranihati, Dhulagarh, Sankrail, Bagnan, Kolaghat, Haldia, and Kharagpur, enhancing service accessibility for fleet operators engaged in captive use, FMCG, courier, logistics, and regional freight movement.

The new BharatBenz dealership is a modern 16-bay 3S (Sales, Service and Spares) facility spanning 100,000 sq. ft., designed to deliver a seamless ownership experience for commercial vehicle customers. It is equipped with 12 service bays and 4 accident repair bays, backed by 3 Mobile Reach Vans (MRVs) for prompt on-road assistance. Supported by a skilled team of 50 trained personnel, the dealership can service over 500 vehicles per month and will operate extended hours from 06:00 AM to 10:00 PM to deliver comprehensive customer support across the region.

Commenting on the inauguration, Rajiv Chaturvedi, President & Chief Business Officer, Daimler India Commercial Vehicles, said, “The new Agile Trucking dealership in Howrah strengthens our ability to deliver faster service, higher uptime, and reliable support across one of eastern India’s key logistics corridors. By bringing our services closer to customers, we are enhancing the BharatBenz ownership experience and helping fleet operators keep their businesses moving efficiently and profitably.”

Vijayakumar K, CEO of Agile Trucking said, “With this new BharatBenz facility in Howrah, our focus is to deliver faster, more dependable support to customers operating across NH-16 and nearby industrial and logistics hubs. The 16-bay setup, trained team, and Mobile Reach Vans will allow us to serve vehicles more efficiently and reduce downtime for fleet operators. We look forward to building on our partnership with DICV and supporting BharatBenz customers across Howrah, East Medinipur, and West Medinipur.”

To further strengthen customer uptime and parts availability, BharatBenz currently operates a Parts Logistics Centre (PLC) in Oragadam, Chennai, Gurugram and Pune. As part of the customer-centric growth strategy, the company plans to establish a dedicated PLC for Eastern India soon to further improve delivery lead times and vehicle uptime.

Since joining the BharatBenz network in July 2022, Agile Trucking part of the CKA Birla Group’s Integrated Mining & Manufacturing Solutions (IIMS), a leading provider of mining, infrastructure, and construction solutions. Agile has established itself as a key partner in expanding the BharatBenz’s customer reach across West Bengal. In addition to the Bardhaman and Haldia dealerships, the new Howrah dealership, alongside the Raniganj facility inaugurated earlier this year, takes Agile Trucking’s footprint to four strategically located touchpoints across South Bengal. With this new facility, BharatBenz now operates 14 touchpoints across West Bengal and strengthens its commitment to delivering seamless sales, service, and spares support, enabling faster response times, greater convenience, and higher uptime for customers.

As part of customer-centric approach, BharatBenz offers an integrated vehicle lifecycle solution through ‘BharatBenz Certified’ and attractive exchange programs. Customers can exchange both BharatBenz and other commercial vehicle brands for new BharatBenz trucks, while benefiting from transparent evaluations, quality-assured pre-owned vehicles, and a seamless upgrade experience.

Also to make acquisition seamless, BharatBenz has partnered with 20+ leading banks and NBFCs offering competitive financing and other customised financing solutions. With more than 430 service workshops and touchpoints in India, BharatBenz continues to expand customer access across key freight corridors.
