New Delhi: Imperial Auto, a global provider of fluid transmission solutions, has appointed Sandeep Bathla as Chief Global Operations Officer, the company said.
Bathla will lead Imperial Auto’s global manufacturing operations, with a focus on improving productivity, accelerating automation and technology adoption, and strengthening supply chain capabilities.
He will also work towards greater consistency across the company’s manufacturing network as Imperial Auto prepares for its next phase of growth. Bathla will report to Vikram Wagh, Managing Director and CEO of Imperial Auto.
Commenting on the appointment, Wagh said building a future-ready and high-performing manufacturing organisation would be critical as the company scales operations and strengthens its position in global markets.
“Sandeep brings extensive experience across manufacturing and the automotive industry, along with a strong understanding of operational excellence,” Wagh said, adding that his leadership would help enhance manufacturing capabilities, improve responsiveness and create greater value for customers.
Bathla has more than three decades of experience across the automotive and manufacturing sectors, with expertise in operations, manufacturing excellence and business leadership.
Before joining Imperial Auto, he served as Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer at Plasser India. He has also held leadership positions at Blue Star Ltd, Motherson Sintermetal Technology Ltd and Eicher Tractors.
Bathla holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from NIT Kurukshetra and a Doctor of Philosophy from European International University, Paris.
His appointment comes as Imperial Auto continues to strengthen its manufacturing and engineering capabilities and expand its presence in global markets.
