Mahindra Auto sales rise 15% to 1.15 Lakh units in September

New Delhi: Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd on Thursday reported a 15 per cent year-on-year growth in overall automotive sales, including exports, at 1,14,874 vehicles in September 2026.

The company said domestic utility vehicle sales rose 14 per cent to 64,092 units during the month from 56,233 units in September 2025.

Domestic commercial vehicle sales also grew 14 per cent to 30,420 units in September 2026.

According to the company, sales of light commercial vehicles below two tonnes increased 19 per cent to 4,044 units, while those in the 2-3.5 tonne category rose 13 per cent to 26,376 units during the month.

Three-wheeler sales, including electric three-wheelers, jumped 26 per cent to 16,343 units from 13,017 units in the year-ago month.

Mahindra’s exports stood at 4,019 units in September, down 7 per cent from 4,320 units in the same month last year.

For the April-September period of FY27, domestic utility vehicle sales increased 20 per cent to 3,58,142 units from 2,97,570 units in the corresponding period of FY26.

Three-wheeler sales during the six-month period surged 53 per cent to 82,058 units, while sales of LCVs below two tonnes rose 30 per cent to 21,895 units. Sales of LCVs in the 2-3.5 tonne category grew 18 per cent to 1,34,726 units.

Exports during the April-September period increased 48 per cent to 30,031 units from 20,303 units a year earlier.

Dr Velusamy R, President, Automotive Business, Mahindra & Mahindra, said SUV sales stood at 64,092 units in September, registering 14 per cent growth, while total vehicle sales reached 1,14,874 units, up 15 per cent year-on-year.

He also said the company had crossed the milestone of one lakh billing of its Electric Origin SUVs since their launch.

The company said total vehicle sales of 1,14,874 units include SUVs, LCVs below 3.5 tonnes, three-wheelers and export volumes.
