New Delhi: Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd’s Farm Equipment Business (FEB) reported a 62 per cent year-on-year increase in tractor exports to 1,892 units in September 2026, even as domestic sales were impacted by a shift in the festive season.

The company sold 50,208 tractors in the domestic market during September, compared with 64,946 units in the same month last year. The 23 per cent decline in domestic volumes was primarily due to the festive season commencing in October this year, against September last year.

The company also said the year-on-year comparison was affected by a higher base in September 2025, when sales benefited from the implementation of a GST rate cut during the period.

Including exports, Mahindra’s total tractor sales stood at 52,100 units in September 2026, compared with 66,111 units a year earlier.

For the April-September period of FY27, the Farm Equipment Business recorded total tractor sales of 2,74,068 units, up 7 per cent from 2,57,025 units in the corresponding period last year.

Domestic tractor sales during the first half of the fiscal rose 6 per cent to 2,62,872 units, while exports increased 16 per cent to 11,196 units.

Veejay Nakra, President, Farm Equipment Business, Mahindra & Mahindra, said the company sold 50,208 tractors in the domestic market in September, with the year-on-year decline primarily reflecting the shift in the festive season.

He added that Mahindra sold 1,892 tractors in export markets during the month, registering strong growth over the year-ago period.
