New Delhi: Jamna Auto Industries Ltd reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 48.52 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2026, up 6.2 per cent from Rs 45.70 crore in the year-ago period.
The company’s board has also approved a Rs 47 crore investment to set up a new leaf spring manufacturing facility at its existing plant in Adityapur, Jharkhand, aimed at strengthening its presence in the OEM and aftermarket segments in eastern India.
The brownfield facility will be implemented through Jai Suspensions Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Jamna Auto Industries, and will have a production capacity of 1,500 metric tonnes per month.
Commercial production at the proposed facility is expected to commence around December 2027, the company said in a regulatory disclosure.
The project will primarily be funded through internal accruals, with the final investment outlay subject to adjustments based on execution requirements.
The new facility will leverage existing infrastructure at the Adityapur plant, enabling the company to create additional capacity while improving operational synergies and strengthening its ability to serve customers in eastern India.
The expansion is expected to help Jamna Auto cater to growing demand from original equipment manufacturers and the aftermarket, while improving supply responsiveness and reducing logistics costs in the region.
The investment comes as the company continues to expand its domestic and international footprint. In July, Jamna Auto’s board approved the acquisition of 100 per cent stake in UK-based Owen Springs Ltd for a cash consideration of £2 million.
The acquisition is aimed at strengthening the company’s international presence and expanding its access to global markets.
Jamna Auto is a major manufacturer of suspension systems and leaf springs for commercial vehicles. The company’s expansion plans come amid continued focus on strengthening manufacturing capabilities and capturing opportunities across the commercial vehicle ecosystem.
