New Delhi: Tenneco Clean Air India Ltd on Wednesday reported a 20.2 per cent year-on-year increase in revenue from operations to ₹1,544.8 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2026, driven by strong execution of new business wins, higher content per vehicle and a growing customer base across its core businesses.

The automotive components manufacturer said value-added revenue, its key performance metric, rose 18.4 per cent year-on-year to ₹1,381.6 crore, outperforming the 16.2 per cent growth in its served automotive market.

Profit after tax stood at ₹165.2 crore during the first quarter of FY27, with a value-added revenue margin of 12 per cent. EBITDA increased to ₹246.9 crore, while the EBITDA margin stood at 17.9 per cent, compared with 19.6 per cent in the corresponding quarter last year, impacted by higher commodity prices and costs associated with the company’s transition from a private to a listed entity.

The company said quarterly performance was supported by sustained execution of new programme wins, stable exports and continued operational excellence despite commodity cost pressures.

During the quarter, Tenneco expanded the footprint of its DCx Da Vinci suspension technology with multiple application wins, added four new customers and introduced the DCx 32 variant for smaller passenger vehicles. It also completed the fitment and benchmarking of Mechanical Adaptive Roll Damping (MARD) dampers with a leading domestic original equipment manufacturer.

In its Clean Air and Powertrain business, the company secured several new programme nominations from passenger and commercial vehicle manufacturers, including orders for spark plugs, exhaust systems, CNG platform assemblies and emission after-treatment systems. It also strengthened its powertrain portfolio by making its spark plugs compatible with flex-fuel applications up to E85.

Commenting on the performance, Whole-Time Director and Chief Executive Officer Arvind Chandra said the company made a strong start to FY27 with double-digit growth in value-added revenue, outpacing the growth of its served markets and strengthening its competitive position.

He said Tenneco continued to gain market share across key segments, secured strategic programme nominations across passenger and commercial vehicle platforms, expanded its export business and advanced localisation of global technologies for alternative fuels and next-generation mobility solutions, providing strong visibility for future growth.
