Mumbai: Mahindra & Mahindra’s Farm Equipment Business on Monday reported a 23 per cent increase in domestic tractor sales at 47,845 units in May 2026, aided by favourable farm conditions and strong rural demand.

The company had sold 38,914 tractors in the domestic market in May last year. Total tractor sales, including exports, rose 22 per cent to 49,695 units during the month under review from 40,643 units a year earlier.

Exports stood at 1,850 units in May 2026, up 7 per cent from 1,729 units in the year-ago period.

Mahindra & Mahindra President, Farm Equipment Business, Veejay Nakra said the growth was driven by timely completion of Rabi harvesting and favourable terms of trade for farmers.

He added that the company recorded export sales of 1,850 tractors during the month, reflecting growth across overseas markets.
