SML Mahindra’s May sales rise 15% on strong passenger vehicle demand

New Delhi: SML Mahindra Ltd on Monday reported a 15 per cent increase in total vehicle sales for May 2026 at 1,767 units, driven by robust growth in its passenger vehicle segment.

The company had sold 1,543 units in May 2025, according to a Press Release. Passenger vehicle sales rose 26 per cent year-on-year to 1,423 units last month from 1,130 units in the corresponding month of the previous year.

However, cargo vehicle sales declined 17 per cent to 344 units in May 2026 compared with 413 units a year earlier.

For the April-May period of the current financial year, the company reported total sales of 3,508 units, up 15 per cent from 3,055 units in the year-ago period.

Passenger vehicle sales during the two-month period increased 22 per cent to 2,754 units from 2,253 units, while cargo vehicle sales fell 6 per cent to 754 units from 802 units in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal.
