Mumbai: Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd on Monday reported a 20 per cent year-on-year increase in total vehicle sales, including exports, at 99,636 units in May 2026, driven by sustained demand for its sport utility vehicles (SUVs).

The company sold 58,021 SUVs in the domestic market during the month, up 11 per cent from 52,431 units in May last year.

Domestic sales of commercial vehicles stood at 24,079 units, registering a growth of 19 per cent year-on-year. Total exports rose 37 per cent to 5,000 units in May 2026 from 3,646 units in the corresponding month last year.

Mahindra & Mahindra Automotive Division CEO Nalinikanth Gollagunta said the company achieved SUV sales of 58,021 units and total vehicle sales of 99,636 units during the month.

He said demand across the company’s portfolio remained strong, although supply chain challenges due to manpower shortages at select suppliers continued to constrain production.
