Gurugram: Hyundai Motor India Limited on Friday reported its highest-ever domestic sales for the month of April, registering a 17 per cent year-on-year growth, driven by strong demand across its product portfolio.

The company said its domestic sales stood at 51,902 units in April 2026, marking its best-ever performance for the month since inception.

Hyundai Motor India also reported export sales of 13,708 units during April 2026, reflecting steady demand in overseas markets.

The company said the strong performance was supported by positive customer response to its recent product offerings and special editions across segments. Models such as the Hyundai EXTER, Hyundai VERNA, Hyundai IONIQ 5 and Hyundai CRETA, along with updated versions of the Grand i10 NIOS and VENUE, contributed to the overall sales momentum.

The all-new Hyundai VENUE emerged as a key growth driver, recording its highest-ever monthly domestic sales of 12,420 units in April 2026.

Commenting on the performance, Tarun Garg, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Hyundai Motor India, said the company has entered the new financial year on a strong footing, carrying forward the momentum built in recent months.

He noted that the company’s expanding and competitive product lineup, coupled with a continued focus on safety and innovation, has resonated well with customers.

Hyundai Motor India added that the five-star Bharat NCAP safety rating for the VENUE and its N Line variant further underlines its commitment to safety, contributing to the model’s strong sales performance.

The company said it remains focused on delivering future-ready mobility solutions and enhancing customer experience as it looks to sustain growth momentum in the coming months.
