Pune: Auto components major Varroc Engineering Ltd on Wednesday said it has entered into a strategic partnership with Chinese display technology specialist TOLYY to localise and supply next-generation digital cockpit solutions for global passenger and commercial vehicle platforms.
Under the agreement, SUZHOU TOLYY OPTRONICS CO., LTD (TOLYY) will support Varroc through a flexible supply and localisation model covering fully integrated display modules as well as screen-only supplies for local assembly in India, the company said in a statement.
The collaboration aims to combine TOLYY’s display engineering capabilities with Varroc’s manufacturing expertise and relationships with global original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), creating a platform for joint market participation across India, Europe and North America.
As part of the arrangement, TOLYY will supply integrated display modules comprising display panels, backlight units, touch interfaces, enclosures and electronic control units for specific vehicle programmes. Varroc will undertake integration, validation and manufacturing of advanced display solutions suited to various automotive applications.
The partnership will also enable local final assembly and integration by Varroc in India and support exclusive industrialisation of display modules in the country for selected customer programmes.
According to the company, the collaboration is expected to reduce time-to-market, strengthen supply chain resilience and cater to the growing demand for localised high-technology automotive electronics.
“At Varroc, our endeavour is to deliver brilliance at scale by seamlessly integrating global innovation with localized execution. This partnership with TOLYY strengthens our ability to offer cutting-edge digital cockpit capabilities while enhancing supply chain resilience and supporting OEMs to provide safe, smart and sustainable mobility solutions,” said Dhruv Jain, Whole Time Director and CEO, Varroc Business II.
TOLYY President and CEO Strong Shi said the alliance combines the company’s advanced display technologies with Varroc’s scale and customer access to jointly develop next-generation digital cockpit experiences for key automotive markets worldwide.
He added that the partnership is expected to set new benchmarks in performance, quality and supply chain efficiency in automotive display solutions.
