New Delhi: Hero MotoCorp on Friday reported a sharp increase in total dispatches to 5,66,086 units in April 2026, nearly doubling from 3,05,406 units in the same month last year, driven by strong demand across domestic and international markets.
Domestic dispatches stood at 5,32,433 units during the month, compared to 2,88,524 units in April 2025, while exports rose significantly to 33,653 units from 16,882 units in the year-ago period.
The company said its domestic retail performance remained robust, with VAHAN registrations at 5,52,713 units in April, indicating a growth of around 8 per cent, reflecting sustained demand across regions.
Motorcycle dispatches accounted for 5,01,791 units, up from 2,86,089 units last year, while scooter volumes rose sharply to 64,295 units from 19,317 units in April 2025.
The company said its internal combustion engine (ICE) segment recorded its highest April dispatch in the post-pandemic period, registering an 83 per cent growth over the previous year, with broad-based demand across entry, deluxe, premium and scooter categories.
Its electric mobility arm, VIDA, also continued to gain traction, more than doubling dispatches with a year-on-year growth of 129 per cent, supported by focused consumer engagement initiatives and rising adoption of electric two-wheelers.
The company further strengthened its domestic footprint by adding 70 new sales and service touchpoints, including Premia outlets, taking the total Premia network to 132 outlets across the country.
On the global front, Hero MotoCorp reported strong momentum with export volumes rising steadily, supported by expansion into new markets. The company recently partnered with Quilmotors as its exclusive distributor in Ecuador to strengthen its presence in South America, including plans for assembly operations, network development and after-sales support.
Hero MotoCorp’s strong April performance reflects continued demand momentum in both conventional and electric segments, along with growing traction in international markets as it looks to consolidate its leadership position in the two-wheeler industry.
