Bengaluru: Scania Commercial Vehicles India on Thursday inaugurated its new corporate office in Bengaluru, marking a significant step in strengthening its presence and customer ecosystem in the country.
The office was inaugurated in the presence of Jan Thesleff, Ambassador of Sweden to India, along with senior company leadership, key customers, dealer partners, and representatives from Business Sweden.
Reinforcing its long-term commitment to the Indian market, the company said its Regional Product Centre (RPC) in Narasapura continues to remain fully operational with end-to-end capabilities, offering customised solutions across key segments.
Building on recent momentum following the launch of Scania Super trucks in India, the company also announced the introduction of a white-label financing programme in partnership with Axis Bank. The initiative aims to provide accessible and competitive financing options to customers purchasing Scania trucks, thereby supporting fleet expansion and operational growth.
Speaking on the occasion, Thesleff said the inauguration reflects Scania’s continued commitment to India and underscores the growing partnership between Sweden and India across trade, innovation, and sustainability. He noted that such initiatives contribute to strengthening collaboration between businesses and institutions of both countries.
Scania Commercial Vehicles India Managing Director Silvio Munhoz said India remains a strategically important market for the company, and the new office would enable closer collaboration with customers and partners while improving responsiveness and execution capabilities.
He added that the Bengaluru office would also help the company tap into a highly skilled talent pool and build a future-ready organisation, while the Narasapura facility would continue to support customers with tailored solutions.
Martin Stahlberg, Senior Vice President for Asia and Oceania at Scania CV AB, said India is a key market for the company’s long-term growth and capability development, and the new office reflects its commitment to strengthening local presence and customer engagement.

Munish Sharda, Executive Director at Axis Bank, said the partnership would combine Scania’s product capabilities with structured financing solutions to help customers invest confidently in high-performance commercial vehicles.
The new office, located in central Bengaluru, is designed to enhance coordination across teams and improve engagement with customers, dealer partners, financial institutions, and other stakeholders. It is expected to serve as a hub for key business functions while enabling faster decision-making and improved operational agility.
Designed in line with the company’s global standards and Swedish work culture, the office features collaborative layouts and incorporates sustainability-focused elements such as energy-efficient lighting, climate control systems, and the use of recyclable materials.
The development reflects Scania’s broader strategy to build a locally anchored and responsive business model in India while supporting the evolving needs of the commercial vehicle sector, which is increasingly focused on efficiency, uptime, and sustainability.
