Pune: Autoline Industries has taken two significant steps toward widening its business portfolio and cutting operating costs. In a regulatory filing, the Pune-based auto components company announced the launch of its first electric two-wheelers through its wholly owned subsidiary, Autoline E-Mobility Private Limited, and also confirmed that a new solar power project has begun supplying electricity to one of its key manufacturing units.

The company said its subsidiary has secured all required approvals from authorities under the Ministry of Heavy Industries to introduce two models, branded Oxstar Z1 and Oxstar Z2. Both scooters were launched on December 10 and will be sold in the domestic market.

The move marks Autoline’s formal entry into the electric mobility segment, which the company described as part of its broader diversification plan. Alongside the product launch, Autoline has started drawing power from a 6.5 MW open access solar facility operated by Hamsa Solar Asset Series 4 Private Limited.

The plant has begun supplying electricity to Autoline’s facility in Nanekarwadi near Pune. According to the company, the shift to solar energy is expected to cut annual power expenses by an estimated four to five crore rupees.

It also noted that future changes in power tariffs are unlikely to affect its cost structure, since the solar agreement provides a stable energy supply. Both disclosures were made to stock exchanges under Regulation 30 of the SEBI Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements.

Pranvesh Tripathi, Company Secretary and Compliance Officer, stated in the filing that the developments form an important part of Autoline’s forward strategy. The electric scooters are positioned as the first products to come out of Autoline E-Mobility’s stable, while the solar project marks a push toward cleaner and more predictable energy consumption.

Together, the initiatives signal the company’s effort to strengthen its presence in emerging mobility technologies and improve long-term operational efficiency.
