Pune: Jaya Hind Industries (JHI), a fully integrated manufacturer of precision aluminium die-cast components, on Wednesday announced a phased investment of Rs 600 crore over the next two years to expand its manufacturing capacity across high-pressure die casting and gravity die casting segments.

Further to the announcement of Rs 200 crore towards the Chennai facility expansion, Jaya Hind Industries has decided to undertake an additional investment of Rs 400 crore, taking the total planned investment to Rs 600 crore.

The additional investment will be deployed in phases during 2026-27 and 2027-28 across JHI’s key manufacturing locations at Akurdi and Urse in Pune, and Chennai.

The expansion plan includes setting up a new manufacturing facility in Chennai, installing more than 12 high-pressure die-casting machines with capacities ranging 1,200-3,500 tonnes and significantly enhancing precision machining capabilities.

The company will also expand critical in-house processes, including heat treatment, impregnation and powder coating, besides strengthening overall plant infrastructure.

The proposed dedicated powder-coating facility will enable JHI to offer integrated, value-added manufacturing solutions. It is expected to improve surface finishing, corrosion resistance, product durability and process control by bringing the activity under one roof.

“As the demand for larger and more complex aluminium castings continues to grow, we are strengthening our manufacturing capabilities to deliver greater scale, precision and reliability,” JHI Managing Director Prasan Firodia said.

The investment will enhance the company’s ability to support customers’ future programmes and build globally competitive manufacturing capabilities from India, in line with the government’s ‘Make in India’ vision, he added.
