New Delhi: Hero MotoCorp on Monday announced a major push to strengthen its presence in the premium motorcycle and scooter segment, appointing industry veteran Anuj Dua as Chief Business Officer for the premium business while outlining plans to expand its product portfolio, exclusive retail network and technology offerings.

The world’s largest manufacturer of motorcycles and scooters said the move builds on the momentum achieved in FY26 and is aimed at accelerating growth in high-value mobility segments through dedicated leadership, premium customer experiences and global partnerships.

Dua, who has previously held leadership roles at Hero MotoCorp, Royal Enfield and Bajaj Auto, will lead the company’s premiumisation strategy, focusing on portfolio expansion, strategic partnerships, exclusive retail formats and rider engagement through community initiatives, merchandise and riding events.

As part of its premium strategy, Hero MotoCorp expanded its product lineup during FY26 with the launch of the Glamour X, Xtreme 125R, Xtreme 250R, Xoom 160, XPulse 210 and the Harley-Davidson X440 T.

The company also increased its exclusive Hero Premia retail and service network to more than 130 outlets across the country. These stores are designed to offer specialised sales support and personalised after-sales services for customers purchasing premium motorcycles and scooters.

“The global mobility landscape is undergoing a significant transformation, led by rising consumer aspirations for premiumisation, including curated premium experiences,” Hero MotoCorp Executive Chairman Pawan Munjal said.

He said the company’s strategy combines innovation, design excellence, performance engineering and stronger customer engagement to enhance its premium offerings and strengthen its position as a globally admired mobility brand.

Hero MotoCorp said its Neemrana manufacturing facility in Rajasthan, known as the “Garden Factory”, will play a key role in supporting its premium ambitions through automated production systems, digital quality control and sustainable manufacturing practices. The company plans to gradually extend these capabilities across its manufacturing network.

The company is also integrating connected technologies, intelligent rider interfaces and advanced electronic architecture into its premium models. Features such as over-the-air software updates and next-generation rider assistance systems will be progressively introduced to offer safer and more advanced mobility solutions.

Hero MotoCorp added that its motorsport arm, Hero MotoSports, will continue to contribute to product development by transferring technologies and engineering learnings from competitive racing to its commercial motorcycle portfolio, particularly in areas such as chassis dynamics, powertrain performance, durability and electronic rider aids.
