New Delhi: Maruti Suzuki India Ltd on Saturday reported a 33.7 per cent year-on-year increase in total sales to 2,41,421 units in July 2026, driven by record domestic sales and strong demand across passenger vehicle segments.

The country’s largest carmaker sold 2,41,421 units in July 2026, compared with 1,80,526 units in July 2025.
Domestic sales, including passenger vehicles, light commercial vehicles and supplies to other OEMs, rose to an all-time high of 2,11,365 units last month from 1,48,781 units in the year-ago period.

Passenger vehicle sales in the domestic market increased 42.4 per cent to 1,96,203 units in July from 1,37,776 units a year earlier, while light commercial vehicle sales climbed to 3,920 units from 2,794 units.

Sales to other original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) also rose to 11,242 units compared with 8,211 units in July last year.

Exports, however, declined 5.3 per cent to 30,056 units from 31,745 units in the corresponding month of the previous year.

Within the passenger vehicle portfolio, mini car sales, comprising Alto and S-Presso, jumped to 12,634 units from 6,822 units. Sales of compact and mid-size models, including Baleno, Swift, WagonR and Dzire, increased to 90,822 units from 65,840 units.

Utility vehicle sales, led by models such as Brezza, Ertiga, Fronx and Grand Vitara, rose sharply to 78,851 units in July 2026 from 52,773 units in the same month last year, while Eeco van sales stood at 13,896 units against 12,341 units a year ago.
