Mumbai: Force Motors on Wednesday reported a 22.8 per cent year-on-year rise in consolidated net profit to Rs 216.56 crore for the first quarter ended June 30, 2026, driven by higher sales, even as margins came under pressure due to rising operating costs.

The company had posted a consolidated net profit of Rs 176.33 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year. Revenue from operations increased 6.2 per cent to Rs 2,440 crore in the April-June quarter from Rs 2,297 crore a year earlier.

Profit before tax rose 5.6 per cent to Rs 293.29 crore from Rs 277.71 crore in the year-ago period. Total expenses climbed 7.6 per cent to Rs 2,189.66 crore during the quarter. Cost of materials consumed rose 2.5 per cent to Rs 1,749.03 crore, while employee benefit expenses increased 17.2 per cent to Rs 195.12 crore. Finance costs, however, declined 69.2 per cent to Rs 0.04 crore.

On a standalone basis, the company reported a net profit of Rs 212.07 crore for the quarter, up 14.5 per cent from Rs 185.22 crore in the corresponding period last year. Standalone revenue from operations rose 6.2 per cent to Rs 2,439.89 crore.

The company’s consolidated EBITDA stood at Rs 328 crore compared with Rs 332 crore in the year-ago quarter, while EBITDA margin narrowed to 13.44 per cent from 14.45 per cent due to higher operating costs.

Force Motors said its board has approved a proposal to amend the Object Clause of the company’s Memorandum of Association, subject to shareholders’ approval, to enable it to undertake a wider range of business activities and new projects aligned with its existing operations.

The proposed amendment also includes provisions to undertake power generation for captive consumption as well as commercial supply, providing greater operational flexibility, the company said.

During the quarter, the company’s consolidated financial statements also included Veera Tanneries Pvt Ltd as a wholly owned subsidiary following its acquisition in April this year. The joint venture Force MTU Power Systems Pvt Ltd contributed Rs 4.84 crore to the company’s share of profit from joint ventures during the quarter.
