Chennai: TVS Sensing Solutions Pvt Ltd, a step-down wholly owned subsidiary of TVS Srichakra Ltd, has acquired a 51 per cent stake in Pune-based EV technology firm Weber Drivetrain Pvt Ltd for Rs 1.43 crore to strengthen its electronics capabilities in the automotive components business.

The acquisition was approved by the Board of Directors of TVS Sensing Solutions on Saturday, and the company has entered into a Share Purchase Agreement with G-Power Energy & Technology Pvt Ltd to acquire 5,100 equity shares, representing 51 per cent of the paid-up equity share capital of Weber Drivetrain. The consideration will be paid in cash.

TVS Srichakra said the acquisition is aimed at expanding its capabilities in automotive electronics and supporting future growth opportunities in the electric mobility ecosystem.

Incorporated in January 2022, Weber Drivetrain designs, develops, tests and manufactures electric motors and controllers, while providing end-to-end vehicle integration solutions for original equipment manufacturers under the ‘Make in India’ initiative.

The Pune-based company reported a turnover of Rs 14.17 crore in FY26, up from Rs 11.65 crore in FY25. It had posted a turnover of Rs 13.48 crore in FY24.

According to the company, the transaction is not a related-party deal, and neither the promoters nor the promoter group of TVS Srichakra has any interest in Weber Drivetrain.

The acquisition does not require any government or regulatory approvals and is expected to be completed within six months from the execution of the Share Purchase Agreement on July 19, 2026.
