Bajaj Auto May sales rise 20% on robust exports

New Delhi: Bajaj Auto Ltd on Monday reported a 20 per cent year-on-year increase in total vehicle sales for May 2026 at 4,61,257 units, driven by strong growth in exports across both two-wheelers and commercial vehicles.

The company had sold 3,84,621 units in May 2025. Domestic sales rose 10 per cent to 2,48,031 units last month from 2,25,733 units a year earlier, while exports jumped 34 per cent to 2,13,226 units from 1,58,888 units, Bajaj Auto said in a statement.

Total two-wheeler sales increased 18 per cent to 3,93,204 units in May 2026 compared with 3,32,370 units in the corresponding month last year. Domestic two-wheeler sales stood at 2,09,528 units, up 9 per cent, while exports surged 30 per cent to 1,83,676 units.

Commercial vehicle sales rose 30 per cent to 68,053 units during the month under review from 52,251 units in May 2025. Domestic commercial vehicle sales grew 12 per cent to 38,503 units, while exports climbed 65 per cent to 29,550 units.

For the April-May period of FY27, the company reported total sales of 9,75,049 units, up 30 per cent from 7,50,431 units in the year-ago period.

Domestic sales during the first two months of the fiscal rose 11 per cent to 4,96,241 units, while exports increased 57 per cent to 4,78,808 units.
