New Delhi: Apollo Tyres Chairman Onkar S. Kanwar has said the company remains focused on disciplined execution, responsible growth and long-term value creation despite global geopolitical tensions, shifting trade dynamics and economic uncertainties, expressing confidence that India and the evolving global mobility landscape will continue to offer significant growth opportunities.
Addressing the 53rd Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Apollo Tyres Ltd, Kanwar said the company’s strategy is guided by the objective of building a stronger business for the future through prudent investments, operational discipline and adherence to core values.
Quoting Mahatma Gandhi’s words, “The future depends on what we do in the present,” Kanwar said the company’s long-term success would be shaped by the choices it makes today, including investments, governance and responsible business practices.
He said Apollo Tyres delivered a strong financial performance in FY26 despite a challenging global business environment. Consolidated revenue crossed ₹28,000 crore to reach ₹28,471 crore, while operating profit rose to ₹4,143 crore. The company also improved capital efficiency and maintained its focus on profitable growth, he added.
Kanwar said financial performance alone does not define the company’s success, stressing that Apollo Tyres continues to strengthen its brand and build a globally respected Indian company.
He said the company’s association with Team India reflects values such as resilience, determination, excellence and the ability to perform under pressure, which have long been part of Apollo Tyres’ culture.
Highlighting sustainability as a key strategic priority, Kanwar said the company’s emission reduction targets were validated during the year by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), reinforcing its commitment to achieve Net Zero emissions by 2050.
He said Apollo Tyres also made steady progress in renewable energy adoption, responsible sourcing and improving resource efficiency, adding that sustainability has become an integral part of the company’s innovation, manufacturing and growth strategy.
Kanwar credited the company’s employees across global operations for their commitment and adaptability, saying they remain the foundation of Apollo Tyres’ achievements.
He also acknowledged the support of governments, institutions and local communities in the countries where the company operates, particularly the Government of Hungary, whose partnership has helped strengthen Apollo Tyres’ European business. He said the company’s manufacturing facility at Gyöngyöshalász reflects the success of long-term collaboration built on mutual trust.
Looking ahead, Kanwar said India offers tremendous opportunities while Apollo Tyres’ global presence positions it well to benefit from changing mobility trends across international markets.
He said uncertainty will remain a feature of business, but companies that continue to innovate, invest responsibly and stay committed to their values will be better equipped for long-term success.
Kanwar concluded by thanking employees, customers, dealers, distributors, suppliers, financial institutions, governments and shareholders for their continued support, saying Apollo Tyres remains committed to building a stronger, more resilient and responsible company in the years ahead.
