New Delhi: Olectra Greentech Limited on Monday said it has adopted Dassault Systèmes’ 3DEXPERIENCE platform to strengthen its digital product development ecosystem and accelerate innovation in the electric mobility segment.

The collaboration aims to enable a fully integrated and model-based engineering environment for the development of electric buses and future mobility platforms, the companies said in a joint statement.

Under the partnership, Olectra will leverage Dassault Systèmes’ virtual twin and platform-based engineering technologies to integrate design, simulation, manufacturing and lifecycle management into a single collaborative framework.

The companies said the move would help Olectra transition towards a globally benchmarked product development approach aligned with international OEM standards.

The adoption of the 3DEXPERIENCE platform is expected to enable virtual simulation and validation before physical prototyping, improve collaboration across engineering and manufacturing teams, accelerate innovation cycles and reduce time-to-market, they added.

“Olectra is making significant investments in developing new bus and truck platforms. Our collaboration with Dassault Systèmes will help us build these to global standards and move faster with smarter and more precise engineering,” Olectra Greentech Managing Director Mahesh Babu said.

Dassault Systèmes India Managing Director Deepak NG said the collaboration reflects a shift toward integrated and platform-driven innovation in electric vehicle development.

He added that virtual twin experiences and next-generation engineering practices would help strengthen India’s evolving mobility ecosystem.

The companies said the partnership reflects a broader global trend of automotive manufacturers adopting digital and platform-based engineering environments to improve scalability, reduce complexity and accelerate sustainable mobility solutions.
