New Delhi: VE Commercial Vehicles Ltd. (VECV), a joint venture between Volvo Group and Eicher Motors, today announced that it has sold over 100,000 vehicles in FY 2025–26—its highest-ever annual sales. This achievement reflects the realization of a key vision set at the inception of the Volvo–Eicher joint venture and reinforces its strong growth momentum in the Indian commercial vehicle industry.

VECV’s strong performance was driven by strong demand across segments, with Light & Medium Duty (LMD) trucks contributing 47,789 units (46.1%), Heavy Duty (HD) trucks accounting for 26,867 units (25.9%), and the bus segment contributing 19,363 units (18.7%).

This milestone has been achieved on the back of VECV’s wide product portfolio, delivering solutions across diverse applications, combined with a sharp focus on best-in-class fuel efficiency, superior uptime and customer centricity. This achievement also reflects the strength of the partnership of Volvo Group and Eicher Motors. Since the JV’s inception in 2008, it has played a transformative role in redefining benchmarks across the commercial vehicle ecosystem by combining Volvo Group’s global leadership in advanced technology with Eicher Motors’ deep understanding of Indian market dynamics. Building on these strengths, VECV continues to drive the modernization of commercial transportation with its future-ready, sustainable solutions that enhance efficiency, productivity, and fleet performance.

Commenting on the occasion, B. Srinivas MD & CEO, VECV, said, “Crossing the milestone of 1,00,000 vehicles in a year is a significant achievement for VECV and reflects the trust our customers have placed in our products and solutions. This milestone also fulfils a key part of the original vision set at the inception of the Volvo–Eicher joint venture, underscoring the strength and long-term strategic direction of our partnership.

As we move forward, we remain committed to driving the next phase of growth through innovation, sustainability, and deeper customer engagement.”

Aligned with India’s vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat, VECV continues to play a meaningful role in nation-building by strengthening domestic manufacturing capabilities and supporting the modernization of logistics and public transportation. The company’s strong ‘Make in India’ approach, coupled with its growing export footprint, enables it to serve both domestic and global markets. VECV’s journey has also been supported by progressive government initiatives such as infrastructure development under Bharatmala and the policy push towards clean mobility through initiatives like PM e-Drive. With a long-standing focus on advanced emission technologies and sustainable solutions, the company remains aligned with India’s transition towards a low-carbon future.

VECV has been at the forefront of industry-first initiatives, including being among the earliest to introduce BSVI-compliant technologies and pioneering a 100% connected vehicle portfolio in India through Eicher Live—one of the most comprehensive telematics platforms driving productivity and profitability. These efforts are complemented by VECV’s world-class manufacturing capabilities and extensive network footprint.

The company operates 8 plants in the country, including India’s first Industry 4.0-enabled plant in Bhopal, its integrated manufacturing hub at Pithampur, and a world-class engine manufacturing facility (VEPT) catering to global Volvo Group requirements. It is further strengthening its manufacturing capabilities with the upcoming Automated Manual Transmission (AMT) plant in Ujjain, reinforcing its focus on advanced technology, improved drivability, and enhanced fuel efficiency. Supported by a strong pan-India dealership and service network of over 1250 touchpoints, along with a rapidly expanding digital and connected ecosystem, VECV continues to deliver superior customer experience and lifecycle support.
