New Delhi: Maruti Suzuki India posted a sharp rise in production and its best-ever monthly sales in November 2025, signalling firm demand across entry-level hatchbacks and utility vehicles as the industry moved deeper into the festive and post-festive cycle. The country’s largest carmaker produced 211,555 units during the month, up from 168,286 units a year earlier. The figure includes output from Suzuki Motor Gujarat.
The mini and compact portfolio continued to anchor the company’s volumes. Models such as the Alto, S-Presso, Baleno, Dzire, Swift and WagonR accounted for 107,641 units, a clear improvement from 86,687 units a year ago. The uptick reflects sustained retail traction in the budget and mid-level segments, supported by better semiconductor availability and stable demand in urban and semi-urban markets.
The utility vehicle lineup held its strong momentum, delivering 86,867 units as buyers continued shifting toward SUVs and crossovers. This was a sizeable jump over the 65,942 units produced in the same month last year. Production of the Eeco van increased to 13,233 units compared with 11,181 units, while light commercial vehicles led by the Super Carry rose to 3,814 units from 3,345 units.
Overall passenger vehicle production reached 207,741 units in November, against 164,941 units in 2024. The company did not produce the Ciaz sedan during the month, in contrast to 1,131 units a year earlier.
The strong production run aligned with Maruti Suzuki’s record-breaking sales performance in November. Total sales climbed 26.16 percent to 229,021 units compared with 181,531 units last year. Domestic passenger vehicle sales stood at 170,971 units, up from 141,312 units, while exports surged to an all-time monthly high of 46,057 units, growing 60.85 percent over last year’s 28,633 units. Sales to other OEMs were recorded at 8,371 units.
The compact segment posted 72,926 units in domestic sales, an 18.82 percent rise over November 2024. Mini-segment sales of the Alto and S-Presso grew 26.64 percent to 12,347 units. Utility vehicles, including the Grand Vitara, Fronx, Invicto, Brezza, Ertiga, XL6, Jimny and Victoris, advanced to 72,498 units, representing a 22.87 percent increase. The Eeco contributed 13,200 units, up 24.65 percent, and the Super Carry closed the month at 3,622 units, up 23.78 percent.
From September to November, Maruti Suzuki recorded a three-month sales growth of 20.8 percent, helped by GST revisions implemented in late September and upbeat buying sentiment during the festive season. Cumulative sales for April to November reached 1,528,650 units, higher than 1,451,383 units in the same period last year. Domestic sales stood at 1,243,830 units, while exports rose to 284,820 units.
The company’s production and sales momentum in November reflects broad-based demand across categories and reinforces Maruti Suzuki’s position at the top of the Indian passenger vehicle industry as it enters the final quarter of the financial year.
