New Delhi: VE Commercial Vehicles Ltd (VECV), a joint venture between Volvo Group and Eicher Motors, on Tuesday reported a 17.7 per cent year-on-year increase in total sales at 8,434 units in August 2026, compared with 7,167 units in the same month last year.
The sales included 8,162 units of the Eicher brand and 272 units of the Volvo brand.
Eicher-branded trucks and buses recorded a 17.9 per cent growth in sales at 8,162 units in August 2026, compared with 6,924 units a year earlier.
Domestic sales of Eicher-branded trucks and buses rose 19.8 per cent to 7,584 units from 6,331 units in August 2025.
Exports, however, declined 2.5 per cent to 578 units from 593 units a year ago.
Volvo Trucks and Volvo Buses recorded sales of 272 units in August 2026, up 11.9 per cent from 243 units in the year-ago month.
