New Delhi: Auto components manufacturer Samvardhana Motherson International Ltd reported a 101.64 per cent increase in consolidated net profit to Rs 1,032.05 crore for the first quarter of FY27, on the back of strong revenue growth and improved operating performance.

The company had posted a consolidated net profit of Rs 511.84 crore in the April-June quarter of the previous fiscal, according to a regulatory filing.

Revenue from operations rose 16.65 per cent to Rs 35,243.77 crore in the June quarter from Rs 30,212 crore in the year-ago period.

At the operational level, EBITDA increased 30.44 per cent to Rs 2,950 crore from Rs 2,262 crore in Q1 FY26. EBITDA margin also improved to 8.37 per cent from 7.49 per cent a year earlier.

The company said it delivered its highest-ever quarterly revenue, supported by healthy performance across its businesses and its diversified business model.

Motherson Chairman Vivek Chaand Sehgal said the company’s integrated Design, Engineering, Manufacturing, Assembly and Logistics capabilities helped it begin FY27 on a strong note.

“Despite input cost inflation and an evolving geopolitical environment, disciplined execution and cost optimisation drove resilient profitability,” Sehgal said.

He added that the company’s balance sheet remained a core strength, with leverage at its lowest-ever level, while a robust order book provides confidence for sustainable long-term growth.

During the quarter, the company operationalised three plants, while 13 plants were at different stages of completion.

Motherson also announced the acquisition of Shenzhen Autocruis during the quarter. The company said its capital expenditure was in line with its growth priorities and annual guidance.

The company manufactures components and systems for the automotive industry and has a diversified global business presence.
