New Delhi:: Cummins India Ltd on Wednesday reported an 18 per cent year-on-year rise in standalone total sales to ₹3,375 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2026, driven by robust domestic demand and steady order execution.

The company posted a profit after tax of ₹543 crore during the first quarter of FY27, with a net profit margin of 16.1 per cent.

Domestic sales increased 22 per cent year-on-year to ₹2,854 crore, while export sales remained flat at ₹521 crore compared with the year-ago period. On a sequential basis, domestic sales rose 14 per cent and exports grew 16 per cent.

Profit before tax, before exceptional items, stood at ₹721 crore with a margin of 21.4 per cent. The margin declined by 0.7 percentage points from the corresponding quarter last year, while profit before tax fell 12 per cent compared with the preceding quarter due to higher commodity costs and inflationary pressures.

Managing Director Shveta Arya said the company started the new financial year on a steady note, supported by strong domestic demand across key end markets and timely execution of orders.

She said exports remained resilient across key overseas markets despite geopolitical developments, although higher commodity prices and inflationary trends weighed on margins. The company is focusing on operational efficiencies and cost discipline while continuing to serve customers with dependable products and services.

Looking ahead, Cummins India said it expects business momentum to remain steady across its key markets, although inflationary pressures and supply chain constraints are likely to persist.

The company said it will continue to focus on disciplined execution, prudent capital deployment, cost management and operational efficiencies. Backed by a healthy balance sheet and strong liquidity, it aims to create long-term value through its technology portfolio, manufacturing capabilities, distribution network and service reach.
