New Delhi: Bajaj Auto Limited on Monday reported a sharp 40 per cent increase in total vehicle sales for April 2026 at 5,13,792 units, compared to 3,65,810 units in the same month last year, driven largely by a strong surge in exports across segments.

Total two-wheeler sales stood at 4,39,953 units last month, registering a growth of 38 per cent over 3,17,937 units in April 2025. Domestic two-wheeler sales rose 11 per cent to 2,10,063 units from 1,88,615 units a year earlier, while exports saw a significant jump of 78 per cent to 2,29,890 units as against 1,29,322 units in the year-ago period.

In the commercial vehicle segment, the company reported a 54 per cent increase in total sales at 73,839 units in April 2026, up from 47,873 units in April last year. Domestic commercial vehicle sales grew 19 per cent to 38,147 units compared to 32,000 units, while exports more than doubled, rising 125 per cent to 35,692 units from 15,873 units in the corresponding month last year.

Overall domestic sales across segments increased 13 per cent to 2,48,210 units in April 2026, as against 2,20,615 units in April 2025. Exports recorded a robust growth of 83 per cent to 2,65,582 units, compared to 1,45,195 units a year earlier.

The strong performance underscores a recovery in overseas markets and sustained demand momentum, particularly in the export business, which significantly contributed to the company’s overall growth during the month.
