Ola Electric commences test rides of 4680 Bharat Cell vehicles

Bangalore: Ola Electric announced that it has commenced test rides of its 4680 Bharat Cell vehicles at the company’s flagship stores across India. The S1 Pro+ (5.2kWh) is the first product to be powered by the company’s indigenously manufactured 4680 Bharat Cell battery pack that delivers more range, better performance, & enhanced safety.

The company recently announced that it secured ARAI certification under the latest AIS-156 Amendment 4 standards issued by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways for its indigenously developed & manufactured 4680 Bharat Cell battery packs in 5.2 kWh configuration.

Speaking on the announcement, Ola Electric spokesperson said, “Our 4680 Bharat Cell-powered vehicles represent a major leap in India’s EV journey. With this indigenous technology now available for customers to experience through test rides at our flagship stores, we are proud to bring the future of performance, range, and safety to the roads today. This milestone underscores Ola Electric’s commitment to driving technological self-reliance and accelerating the transition to sustainable mobility across the country.”

S1 Pro+ (5.2kWh) is powered by a 13kW motor offering an unmatched performance with a brisk acceleration of 0-40 kmph in just 2.1. The S1 Pro+ (5.2kWh) comes with an impressive range of 320km (IDC with DIY mode). S1 Pro+ gets four riding modes – Hyper, Sports, Normal and Eco and also offers enhanced safety with category-first dual ABS, and disk brakes in front and rear. It also gets enhanced ergonomics and comfort two-tone seat with supportive foam, body-coloured mirrors, a new die-cast aluminium grab handle, rim decals, and an expanded colour palette comprising of Passion Red, Porcelain White, Industrial Silver, Jet Black, Stellar Blue, Midnight Blue.

Ola Electric currently offers an expansive portfolio of S1 scooters and Roadster X motorcycles. The premium S1 Gen 3 portfolio includes S1 Pro+ in 5.2kWh, and 4kWh configurations, and S1 Pro in 4kWh, and 3kWh configurations priced at ₹1,90,338, ₹1,70,338, ₹1,44,999, and ₹1,24,999, respectively. The company’s mass market offerings include Gen 3 S1 X+ (4kWh), and Gen 3 S1 X (2kWh, 3kWh, and 4kWh) priced at ₹1,19,999, ₹84,999, ₹98,999, and ₹1,14,999, respectively. The company’s sports scooter portfolio includes the S1 Pro Sport in 5.2kWh, and 4kWh can be reserved at ₹999.

The company’s Roadster motorcycle portfolio comprises of Roadster X+ (4.5kWh), and Roadster X (2.5kWh, 3.5kWh, and 4.5kWh) priced at ₹1,29,999, ₹99,999, ₹1,09,999, and ₹1,24,999, respectively.
