Bengaluru/Paris: In a landmark moment for India’s electric vehicle industry, Bengaluru-based EV startup Ultraviolette has officially launched its flagship performance electric motorcycles – the F77 MACH 2 and F77 SuperStreet – in ten European countries. The high-profile launch event took place at the iconic Eiffel Tower in Paris, France, following a successful debut in Germany earlier this year.
With this rollout, Ultraviolette becomes the first Indian electric two-wheeler manufacturer to make a significant entry into the European market. The company is now present in key nations including Germany, France, the United Kingdom, Spain, Italy, Austria, Sweden, Switzerland, Portugal, and the Netherlands. The strategic expansion marks a pivotal chapter in Ultraviolette’s global growth journey, reflecting its ambition to emerge as a dominant player in the international electric mobility space.
Speaking at the launch, Narayan Subramaniam, CEO and Co-founder of Ultraviolette, said, “The launch of the F77 in Germany, France, the UK, and other European countries is a defining moment for Ultraviolette and a landmark achievement for India’s automobile landscape. This launch signifies Ultraviolette’s entry into Europe’s most influential two-wheeler markets and underlines our intent to be a global force in the electric mobility revolution. As an Indian company, we are proud to bring futuristic design and cutting-edge technology to the world. This is a moment of global recognition for the talent and capability within India’s engineering and manufacturing ecosystem. Through our strategic distributor partnerships, we are not only expanding into Europe but also delivering a world-class ownership experience that reflects the best of what India has to offer.”
The F77 MACH 2 and F77 SuperStreet are designed to cater to different riding styles, yet both share a core DNA rooted in high performance and futuristic design. The MACH 2 is engineered with a race-bred, aggressive stance that enhances dynamic performance and control. In contrast, the SuperStreet variant offers a more upright riding posture and refined ergonomics, striking a balance between comfort and sportiness.
Both motorcycles are powered by a 10.3 kWh battery pack and deliver a peak power output of 30 kW, generating an impressive 100 Nm of torque. These specifications enable the F77 motorcycles to accelerate from 0 to 60 km/h in just 2.8 seconds, with a top speed of 155 km/h. Beyond raw performance, the motorcycles are equipped with a host of intelligent systems that set new benchmarks in electric two-wheeler technology.
At the heart of this innovation lies Ultraviolette’s proprietary artificial intelligence platform, Violette A.I., which governs various aspects of performance, safety, and rider interaction. The motorcycles also feature advanced safety and control technologies including switchable Dual-Channel ABS developed by Bosch, 10 levels of regenerative braking, 4 levels of traction control, and dynamic stability control. These enhancements ensure a highly adaptive and responsive riding experience across different terrains and conditions.
Commenting on the technological advancements, Niraj Rajmohan, CTO and Co-founder of Ultraviolette, noted, “This isn’t just the introduction of motorcycles into new markets, it’s the global unveiling of years of relentless research, engineering, and innovation, born in India. We set out with a bold ambition to build the most advanced electric motorcycle in the world. Today, we are delivering that vision to international customers. The F77 is the result of deep in-house R&D, rigorous testing, and an unwavering commitment to pushing the boundaries of performance, innovation, safety, and design. For India, this milestone represents not just our ability to participate in the global EV transition, but to lead it with technology that competes at the highest level.”
