{"id":4907,"date":"2026-10-01T04:45:55","date_gmt":"2026-10-01T04:45:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/automobilitymag.com\/?p=4907"},"modified":"2026-10-01T04:46:14","modified_gmt":"2026-10-01T04:46:14","slug":"mahindra-auto-sales-rise-15-to-1-15-lakh-units-in-september","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/automobilitymag.com\/index.php\/2026\/10\/01\/mahindra-auto-sales-rise-15-to-1-15-lakh-units-in-september\/","title":{"rendered":"Mahindra Auto sales rise 15% to 1.15 Lakh units in September"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">New Delhi: Mahindra &amp; Mahindra Ltd on Thursday reported a 15 per cent year-on-year growth in overall automotive sales, including exports, at 1,14,874 vehicles in September 2026. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The company said domestic utility vehicle sales rose 14 per cent to 64,092 units during the month from 56,233 units in September 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Domestic commercial vehicle sales also grew 14 per cent to 30,420 units in September 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to the company, sales of light commercial vehicles below two tonnes increased 19 per cent to 4,044 units, while those in the 2-3.5 tonne category rose 13 per cent to 26,376 units during the month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Three-wheeler sales, including electric three-wheelers, jumped 26 per cent to 16,343 units from 13,017 units in the year-ago month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mahindra&#8217;s exports stood at 4,019 units in September, down 7 per cent from 4,320 units in the same month last year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For the April-September period of FY27, domestic utility vehicle sales increased 20 per cent to 3,58,142 units from 2,97,570 units in the corresponding period of FY26.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Three-wheeler sales during the six-month period surged 53 per cent to 82,058 units, while sales of LCVs below two tonnes rose 30 per cent to 21,895 units. Sales of LCVs in the 2-3.5 tonne category grew 18 per cent to 1,34,726 units.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Exports during the April-September period increased 48 per cent to 30,031 units from 20,303 units a year earlier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dr Velusamy R, President, Automotive Business, Mahindra &amp; Mahindra, said SUV sales stood at 64,092 units in September, registering 14 per cent growth, while total vehicle sales reached 1,14,874 units, up 15 per cent year-on-year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He also said the company had crossed the milestone of one lakh billing of its Electric Origin SUVs since their launch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The company said total vehicle sales of 1,14,874 units include SUVs, LCVs below 3.5 tonnes, three-wheelers and export volumes.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>New Delhi: Mahindra &amp; Mahindra Ltd on Thursday reported a 15 per cent year-on-year growth in overall automotive sales, including exports, at 1,14,874 vehicles in September 2026.
