Mumbai: PPAP Automotive Ltd reported a consolidated profit after tax of Rs 0.9 crore for the first quarter of FY27, compared with a loss of Rs 2.3 crore in the year-ago period, on the back of strong revenue growth and improved operational performance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The automotive components manufacturer, part of the Ajay Group, said its consolidated revenue from operations rose 34.1 per cent year-on-year to Rs 156.4 crore during the quarter ended June 30, 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Consolidated EBITDA increased 33.3 per cent to Rs 12.4 crore in the quarter, reflecting higher volumes, improved operating leverage and better execution across key customer platforms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On a standalone basis, revenue from operations grew 29.4 per cent to Rs 144.2 crore, while EBITDA increased 23.7 per cent to Rs 12.1 crore. Profit after tax stood at Rs 2.3 crore, against a loss of Rs 0.4 crore in Q1 FY26.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The company said it secured lifetime orders worth around Rs 131 crore during the quarter, registering a 51.8 per cent year-on-year increase. The order inflow was balanced between electric vehicle and internal combustion engine programmes, with EV-related orders rising sharply to around Rs 64 crore from Rs 11 crore in the year-ago quarter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The company said the strong order inflow was primarily driven by model-based growth, as it continued to benefit from existing and newly launched vehicle models.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
PPAP said it continues to strengthen its relationships with major automakers, including Maruti Suzuki, Tata Motors, Toyota, Honda, Renault, Mahindra and SMG, while expanding its presence among new domestic and global automotive customers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
During the quarter, the company also entered into a strategic partnership with Hutchinson under which it secured an exclusive licence to manufacture, market and sell advanced body sealing systems in India.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The partnership will provide PPAP access to global technology, engineering expertise and product development capabilities, strengthening its position in passenger vehicle sealing solutions, the company said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
” We entered FY27 from a position of strength, supported by favourable industry tailwinds and healthy model-led growth across our key customer platforms,” PPAP Automotive Chairman and Managing Director Ajay Kumar Jain said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He said higher vehicle production, successful new model launches and sustained demand in the passenger vehicle industry supported the company’s performance during the quarter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Jain said margins were impacted by elevated raw material costs arising from the ongoing geopolitical situation in the Middle East, although the company expects the cost pressures to gradually ease as the situation stabilises.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
With a healthy order pipeline, new product development initiatives and a favourable industry outlook, PPAP remains optimistic about its growth prospects, he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
