New Delhi: Suprajit Engineering Ltd reported a 24 per cent year-on-year increase in consolidated revenue at Rs 1,069.6 crore for the first quarter of FY27, driven by strong growth across its key business divisions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The company\u2019s consolidated EBITDA rose 57.5 per cent to Rs 128.7 crore during the April-June quarter, compared with Rs 81.7 crore in the year-ago period. The EBITDA margin improved to 12 per cent from 9.5 per cent, according to the company\u2019s quarterly presentation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Suprajit said it achieved its highest-ever quarterly operating revenue of Rs 1,070 crore during the quarter, while its global cables and mechatronics business recorded strong growth despite muted global automotive and non-automotive markets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The company’s standalone revenue grew 20.4 per cent to Rs 469.7 crore, while standalone EBITDA remained largely flat at Rs 60.3 crore against Rs 60.5 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. The standalone EBITDA margin declined to 12.8 per cent from 15.5 per cent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Global Cables & Mechatronics (GCM), including Suprajit Controls Solutions, reported a 27.6 per cent increase in revenue to Rs 602.5 crore. Its EBITDA more than doubled to Rs 75.8 crore from Rs 27.6 crore, while the margin expanded to 12.6 per cent from 5.8 per cent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The company said the division benefited from new project ramp-ups and new business wins across China, Mexico and India. US OEMs and a leading Chinese OEM continued to drive growth, it added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
India Cables & Mechatronics (ICM) posted a 20.8 per cent rise in revenue to Rs 331 crore, while EBITDA increased 4.2 per cent to Rs 42.5 crore. The company attributed the modest EBITDA growth to delays in passing on higher raw material and wage costs to customers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Phoenix Lighting & Electricals (PLE) reported a 5.4 per cent increase in revenue to Rs 91.1 crore, but its EBITDA declined 45 per cent to Rs 6.1 crore due largely to delayed price increases in the aftermarket business.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Suprajit said new prices have been implemented and margins are expected to recover in the second and third quarters of the current fiscal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Sensors, Electronics & Displays (SED) emerged as the fastest-growing division, with revenue rising 48 per cent to Rs 45 crore and EBITDA doubling to Rs 4.2 crore. The company said strong momentum in digital clusters and electronic throttle grips, along with new business wins, has prompted it to undertake a capacity expansion plan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Suprajit said higher wages, labour shortages, elevated commodity and oil prices, geopolitical tensions and global shipping disruptions continued to put pressure on costs during the quarter. It expects the margin impact at ICM and PLE to be temporary, with improvements expected over the next two quarters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
