New Delhi: Tata Motors Ltd on Saturday reported a 37 per cent year-on-year increase in total commercial vehicle sales to 39,641 units in July 2026, driven by healthy growth in domestic demand and a sharp rise in international business.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The company had sold 28,956 commercial vehicles in July 2025, compared with 39,641 units in July 2026.
Domestic commercial vehicle sales rose 28 per cent to 33,876 units last month from 26,432 units in the year-ago period, while international business more than doubled to 5,765 units from 2,524 units, registering a 128 per cent growth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Sales of heavy commercial vehicle (HCV) trucks increased 33 per cent to 8,973 units in July from 6,735 units a year earlier. Intermediate and light medium commercial vehicle (ILMCV) truck sales grew 20 per cent to 6,100 units compared with 5,068 units in the corresponding month last year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Passenger carrier sales rose 25 per cent year-on-year to 5,938 units from 4,749 units, while sales of small commercial vehicle (SCV) cargo and pickup models climbed 30 per cent to 12,865 units against 9,880 units in July 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Domestic sales of medium and heavy intermediate commercial vehicles (MH&ICV) stood at 15,435 units in July, up 25 per cent from 12,378 units in the same month last year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Including exports, MH&ICV sales increased 20 per cent to 16,364 units during the month from 13,669 units in July 2025.
