The strong performance underscores TAFE’s leadership in the domestic market and its growing footprint in international markets, outpacing the overall growth of the Indian tractor industry.

The company concluded FY26 on a high note, registering a robust 37.4 per cent growth in March 2026, significantly higher than the domestic industry growth of 29 per cent during the same period. This surge reflects sustained demand for TAFE’s popular tractor models, effective farmer engagement initiatives, and strong traction across key agricultural regions.

TAFE’s flagship brands, Massey Ferguson and Eicher Tractors, achieved record domestic sales in FY26, while exports remained firm with 12,584 tractors shipped to international markets. The company’s strong global presence highlights its diversified growth strategy and resilience amidst ongoing geopolitical uncertainties. To meet the rising demand, TAFE’s manufacturing facilities operated at full capacity throughout the year, and the company is actively evaluating capacity expansion plans to strengthen its leadership and support future growth.

Dr. Lakshmi Venu, Vice Chairman of TAFE, said, “This has been a very positive year for both the tractor market and farmers across the country. In addition to favourable monsoons, the government’s reduction in GST has provided substantial relief to the farming sector. We are witnessing a significant shift in rural mechanisation, with many first-time users entering the mechanisation ecosystem. This trend will enhance farm productivity and improve farmer incomes nationwide. Our focus on understanding and addressing evolving customer needs has been central to our performance this year.”

Despite global economic uncertainties and inflationary pressures, TAFE remains optimistic about sustained growth, supported by increasing mechanisation, replacement demand, and expanding tractor applications. The company expects to continue its growth trajectory in both domestic and international markets, strengthening its position as a leading tractor manufacturer globally.

Stafff WriterChennai: Tractors and Farm Equipment Limited (TAFE), India’s second-largest tractor manufacturer and a prominent global player, reported its highest-ever annual tractor sales in FY26, reaching approximately 2,14,951 units.
