Bengaluru: Bosch Limited and Tata AutoComp Systems Limited on Monday announced a 50:50 joint venture to tap into India\u2019s fast-growing e-mobility segment, with operations expected to commence by mid-2026, subject to regulatory approvals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The proposed joint venture will focus on the engineering, manufacturing and sale of eAxle systems and electric motors, key components in electric vehicles, and will have its registered office in Pune. The collaboration aims to strengthen the localisation of advanced mobility technologies and accelerate the adoption of electric mobility solutions in the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Echoing similar views, Sandeep Nelamangala, Joint Managing Director, Bosch Limited and President, Bosch Mobility India, said the mobility sector is undergoing a major transformation globally, with India emerging as a key market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cE-mobility is a strategic field for us and is evolving rapidly. Our customers are seeking cutting-edge global solutions to be developed and manufactured locally in India, which this joint venture aims to deliver,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Tata AutoComp Vice Chairman Arvind Goel said the partnership brings together complementary strengths of both companies in engineering, technology and manufacturing, which will help in scaling up advanced e-mobility solutions tailored for the Indian market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIndia\u2019s mobility ecosystem is undergoing rapid transformation driven by electrification, localisation and the need for scalable technology solutions. This collaboration will play a significant role in accelerating that transition,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Bosch has invested more than 6 billion euros globally in e-mobility, and the partnership will enable it to introduce advanced eAxle and electric motor technologies in India, one of the world\u2019s largest automotive markets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Karsten M\u00fcller, Executive Vice President, Manufacturing and Quality, Electrified Motion at Robert Bosch GmbH, said the alliance will further strengthen Bosch\u2019s footprint in India by enabling the delivery of global technologies with local engineering and manufacturing capabilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The boards of Bosch Limited, Robert Bosch GmbH and Tata AutoComp Systems Limited have approved the proposed transaction.
