Built for deep-mining applications, it is powered by a Cummins 8.5-litre engine that produces 375 hp and 1800 Nm of torque. A 12-speed automated manual transmission, high-strength chassis and upgraded safety systems position it as a purpose-built solution for some of the most demanding haulage conditions in the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The showcase also marked Tata Motors\u2019 entry into the battery-electric tipper category with the introduction of the Prima E.28K. The 28-tonne model is designed for zero-emission operations while maintaining high uptime, catering to shallow mining, mineral transport, port logistics and bulk cargo movement. Strengthening its focus on alternative fuels, the company also unveiled the Signa 2820.TK CNG, India\u2019s first factory-fitted CNG tipper in the 28-tonne class, developed to offer a lower operating cost and cleaner operations for infrastructure projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Speaking at the unveiling, Rajesh Kaul, Vice President and Business Head \u2013 Trucks, Tata Motors Ltd., said EXCON continues to be a key platform for the company to highlight engineering innovations tailored for India\u2019s evolving construction and mining needs. He noted that with infrastructure activity picking up nationwide, fleet operators are looking for dependable and productive vehicles that boost profitability. Kaul added that the Prima 3540.K marks the company\u2019s formal entry into the deep-mining segment, while the Prima E.28K reinforces its commitment to sustainable mobility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Alongside these launches, Tata Motors introduced the Signa 4832.TK, the country\u2019s first 48-tonne, five-axle tipper equipped with a 32 cubic-metre load body suited for coal movement. The Prima 3532.TK, offering a segment-leading 26 cubic-metre load body, was also displayed for aggregate and surface-transport applications. The company further showcased the Prima E.55S, an all-electric prime mover built to support decarbonised logistics with a range of up to 350 kilometres and a three-speed e-axle for stronger grade-ability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Reinforcing its engineering depth beyond vehicles, Tata Motors unveiled a comprehensive range of aggregates, including its latest 15 kVA and 35 kVA gensets and an expanded lineup of CEV BS V-compliant industrial engines for construction machinery. The display also featured heavy-duty live axles, trailer axles and components designed to increase durability, uptime and operating efficiency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Vikram Agrawal, Head \u2013 Spares and Non-Vehicular Business, said the expanded aggregates portfolio demonstrates Tata Motors\u2019 focus on ruggedness, reliability and customer-centric engineering.
