Mumbai: SML Mahindra Limited reported a healthy rise in vehicle sales for February 2026, reflecting steady demand across segments and a strong year-to-date performance.

The company said that total sales for February 2026 stood at 1,503 units, marking a 17 percent increase from 1,288 units sold in the corresponding month last year. Growth was led largely by the passenger vehicle segment, which recorded a sharp 24 percent year-on-year rise to 1,017 units compared with 820 units in February 2025.

Cargo vehicle sales also moved higher, albeit at a moderate pace. The company sold 486 cargo vehicles during the month under review, up 4 percent from 468 units in the same period a year ago. The combined performance pushed overall monthly volumes firmly into double-digit growth territory.

On a cumulative basis, the company maintained momentum during the April to February period of the current financial year. Total sales for April–February 2025-26 reached 14,175 units, registering a 19 percent growth over 11,906 units sold in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal.

Cargo vehicles emerged as the stronger contributor in the year-to-date figures, rising 33 percent to 4,806 units from 3,621 units last year. Passenger vehicle sales during the same period climbed 13 percent to 9,369 units as against 8,285 units earlier.

The company, formerly known as SML Isuzu, is engaged in the manufacture and sale of commercial vehicles and related components. Its improved operational performance was also reflected in its quarterly earnings. In the third quarter of FY26, standalone net profit surged 3,209.43 percent year-on-year, while revenue from operations rose 62.53 percent, indicating a sharp turnaround in profitability.
