Tata Motors PV sales jump 47% to 71,066 units in January

Mumbai: Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Ltd. reported a strong performance in January 2026, posting total sales of 71,066 units across domestic and international markets, marking a sharp 47.1% rise from 48,316 units sold in the same month last year.

Domestic passenger vehicle sales, including electric vehicles, stood at 70,222 units in January 2026, up from 48,076 units a year ago, registering a growth of 46.1%. The company’s international business also recorded a significant surge, with passenger vehicle exports rising more than three-fold to 844 units compared to 240 units in January 2025.

Electric vehicles continued to be a key growth driver for the company. Combined EV sales in domestic and international markets reached 9,052 units during the month, reflecting a robust 72.7% increase over 5,240 units sold in January last year.

The figures include sales of Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Limited, a subsidiary of Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Ltd., underscoring the growing contribution of electric mobility to the company’s overall performance.
