New Delhi: The Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) successfully showcased the Indian automobile industry’s advancements in sustainable mobility through a dedicated Sustainable Mobility Pavilion at the 4th edition of India Energy Week (IEW) 2026, held from 27th – 30th January 2026, at the ONGC Advanced Training Institute in Goa. The pavilion was visited by Shri Hardeep Singh Puri, Hon’ble Minister, Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Government of India. Located in Hall No. 3, the pavilion showcased future-ready mobility solutions aligned with India’s decarbonisation goals.

The pavilion displayed 16 production-ready vehicles and advanced technologies across multiple fuel and powertrain options, including electric, gas, hydrogen, and biofuels. Leading SIAM member OEMs, including Maruti Suzuki, Mahindra & Mahindra, Tata Motors, Toyota Kirloskar Motor, TVS Motor Company, Bajaj Auto, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India, Kia India, Switch Mobility Automotive Ltd., and Suzuki Motorcycle India, participated in the pavilion. Through advanced vehicle technologies and alternative fuel pathways, the pavilion highlighted the Indian automobile industry’s collective commitment to reducing emissions and advancing sustainable mobility.

Speaking on SIAM’s participation at IEW 2026, Mr. Prashant K Banerjee, Executive Director, SIAM, said: “India’s mobility transition cannot be driven by a single solution. Given our scale, diversity and energy priorities, a multi-fuel and multi-powertrain approach is essential. Electric mobility, biofuels, gas, hydrogen and cleaner ICE technologies must progress in parallel to balance energy security, air quality, affordability and self-reliance.”

India Energy Week 2026, India’s flagship energy exhibition and conference, brings together over 75,000 energy professionals, more than 700+ global exhibitors from 120+ countries, along with global ministers, senior policymakers, industry leaders, innovators and investors. IEW 2026 highlights India’s role in balancing energy access with decarbonisation goals, while supporting discussions on secure, sustainable and affordable energy through strategic investments, new technologies and global partnerships.

SIAM’s presence at IEW 2026 highlighted the Indian automobile industry’s role in supporting India’s long-term energy transition, with a focus on accelerating cleaner and more efficient mobility solutions.
