New Delhi: Scania Commercial Vehicles India Pvt. Ltd. on Tuesday announced the India launch of the SUPER, a next-generation truck focused on measurable gains in fuel-efficiency, uptime and total cost of ownership.

“The SUPER features our most advanced powertrain. Compared to previous generations, it delivers over 10% fuel savings, lowers total operating costs, reduces emissions, and simultaneously provides enhanced reliability and uptime—perfectly engineered for India’s most demanding conditions.”

State-of-the-Art new gear box has been designed to deliver torque ranging from 2800 Nm to 3800 Nm. This ensures smooth shifting of gears and longer component life-first of its kind in the segment.

Incorporating a revolutionary fuel optimising unit, Scania Super fuel tank offers a very unique value by increasing the usable fuel volume to 97% of the capacity. This ensures longer drive time and shorter turnaround time of the fleet- one more first of its kind in the segment.

Mr. Silvio Munhoz, Managing Director, Scania Commercial Vehicles India Pvt. Ltd. said- “SUPER is built around what matters most to you—over 10% fuel savings, higher uptime, and clear cost advantages that strengthen your bottom line. To make sure you get the full benefit, we have designed a complete 360° package that includes innovative service solutions along with flexible funding and financing options—so you are not just investing in a truck, but in a solution that supports your entire business. Our environment is equally important and is an integral part of design of all our trucks ensuring minimizing carbon emissions on all our trucks. Engineered and tested for Indian conditions, SUPER delivers the performance and reliability you can count on, day after day, helping your business move forward with confidence.”

SUPER is targeted at mining, construction, and long-haul segments where efficiency per tonne and faster turnaround time drive profitability. By combining higher fuel efficiency, higher torque and extended range, SUPER helps operators reduce cost-per-tonne and improve cycle times across operations.

The SUPER range is now open for sales in India, fully customisable to meet every customer’s needs and application.
