Gurugram: Montra Electric, the clean mobility arm of the 125-year-old Murugappa Group, has taken a major step towards strengthening its nationwide footprint with the launch of a new electric small commercial vehicle (e-SCV) dealership in Gurugram. Operated by SOL Automotive India Pvt. Ltd., the new showroom is strategically located on NH-08 in Kherki Daula, one of North India’s most prominent commercial corridors.
The new facility will retail Montra Electric’s flagship e-SCV, the EViator, which has been making waves in the segment with its advanced technology and robust performance. The showroom was formally inaugurated on Monday by Mr. Saju Nair, CEO of TIVOLT Electric Vehicles Private Limited—the SCV division of Montra Electric—alongside Mr. Rajesh Gulia, Director of SOL Automotive India Pvt. Ltd. The launch event was attended by key stakeholders, regional partners, and prospective customers.
Speaking at the inauguration, Mr. Saju Nair emphasized the strategic importance of the Delhi-NCR region in the company’s overall expansion plans. “Delhi NCR is a crucial market in our expansion roadmap, and we are excited to bring the Montra Electric experience to Gurugram. The new 3S dealership (Sales, Service, Spares and Charging) is designed to deliver a tech-enabled, end-to-end experience to customers—from vehicle exploration and purchase to post-sales maintenance. With this launch, Montra Electric aims to cater to the evolving needs of logistics operators and fleet owners seeking sustainable and efficient transport alternatives.
The EViator stands out in the e-SCV segment with its certified range of 245 km and a real-world range of 170 km. It is powered by a robust 80 kW motor delivering 300 Nm of torque, ensuring superior load-handling capabilities and operational durability. Designed for high efficiency and uptime, the vehicle includes advanced telematics support, offering over 95% fleet availability. It also comes with an extended warranty of up to seven years or 2.5 lakh kilometers, underlining the company’s commitment to long-term customer value.
