Pune: In a landmark move set to redefine last-mile cargo transport in India, Tata Motors, the country’s largest commercial vehicle manufacturer, has launched the all-new Tata Ace Pro — India’s most affordable four-wheel mini truck, priced aggressively at just Rs 3.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The launch marks a significant stride in Tata Motors’ ongoing mission to empower micro-entrepreneurs and small businesses with accessible, reliable, and future-ready mobility solutions.

Heralded as the next-generation solution in the small commercial vehicle segment, the Tata Ace Pro is positioned to unlock a new era in cargo mobility. Available in multiple fuel options — Petrol, Bi-Fuel (CNG + Petrol), and Electric — the Ace Pro offers unmatched flexibility to cater to the diverse operational needs of transporters, traders, and first-time buyers alike.

At the national launch event held in Pune, Mr. Girish Wagh, Executive Director, Tata Motors, highlighted the legacy of the Ace brand. “The launch of Tata Ace had revolutionised cargo mobility in India. Over the past two decades, it has successfully empowered more than 25 lakh entrepreneurs to become a symbol of progress and possibility. With the all-new Tata Ace Pro, we are building on this legacy with renewed purpose for a new generation of dreamers,” he said. Wagh further noted that the new Ace Pro has been engineered for stability, safety, and profitability, aiming to increase earning potential and help entrepreneurs take charge of their aspirations.

Echoing the sentiment, Mr. Pinaki Haldar, Vice President & Business Head – Small Commercial Vehicle Product Unit, Tata Motors Commercial Vehicles, underlined the extensive development efforts behind the Ace Pro. “The purposeful Tata Ace Pro has been developed with deep customer insights and engineered to meet a diverse range of applications. It has undergone rigorous testing across various terrains and weather conditions, covering lakhs of kilometres,” Haldar said. He added that the Ace Pro is a strategic addition to the company’s portfolio, reinforcing its commitment to supporting India’s entrepreneurial ecosystem through dependable and modern cargo solutions.

Built on a modular platform, the Tata Ace Pro is engineered for high performance, with each variant tailored to meet different operational demands. The petrol variant is powered by a 694cc engine generating 30bhp and 55Nm torque, balancing power and fuel economy. The bi-fuel variant integrates CNG and a 5-litre petrol backup tank, delivering 26bhp and 51Nm torque in CNG mode — ensuring cost-efficiency and operational continuity. The electric variant, built on Tata’s proven EV architecture, offers 38bhp and 104Nm torque, with an impressive 155km range per charge. Its IP67-rated motor and battery pack ensure reliability in all-weather conditions.

The Ace Pro further raises the bar in payload capacity, offering a best-in-class 750 kg load-bearing ability and a 6.5ft (1.98m) deck. Available in factory-fitted half-deck and flatbed configurations, it is designed to accommodate a wide range of use cases including container transport, municipal logistics, and refrigerated cargo. The high-strength chassis and robust aggregates promise lasting performance even under heavy-duty operations.

Inside, the cabin of the Ace Pro reflects a customer-centric design approach. It features a spacious, ergonomic layout akin to a passenger car, with enhanced seating comfort, ample storage spaces, and a user-friendly dashboard. Safety remains a top priority, as evidenced by the AIS096-compliant crash-tested cabin. Other modern additions include a digital instrument cluster and an optional infotainment system for enhanced driver convenience.

Tata Motors has also integrated advanced digital features via its connected vehicle platform, Fleet Edge, which already has over 8 lakh registered vehicles. The platform provides real-time data on vehicle health, driver behaviour, and maintenance schedules, enabling fleet operators to make informed decisions that enhance productivity and reduce downtime. Added driving aids such as Gear Shift Advisor and Reverse Parking Assistance simplify driving in both urban and rural conditions.

To ensure a seamless ownership experience, Tata Motors has leveraged its extensive after-sales network, offering support through over 2,500 service and spare parts outlets across the country. This includes a dedicated EV service network and a 24×7 roadside assistance program, designed to ensure maximum uptime for all variants. Additionally, the company’s collaboration with major banks and NBFCs enables flexible financing options, including quick approvals and low EMI plans tailored to meet the needs of first-time buyers and small business owners.

Bookings for the Tata Ace Pro are now open through Tata Motors’ 1,250 commercial vehicle dealerships across India and online via its digital sales platform, Fleet Verse. With the launch of the Ace Pro, Tata Motors reaffirms its role as a catalyst for economic growth, positioning the new mini truck as a dependable partner in India’s entrepreneurial journey.
